Study visits for education and vocational training specialists and decision-makers

A study visit is a short stay of three to five days in a host country for a group of 10 to 15 European education and vocational training specialists and decision-makers. A study visit includes presentations and on-site visits to ministries, educational and training institutions, training sites, etc. The visits provide a forum for discussion, exchange and learning on themes of common interest and on European and national priorities.
The Study Visits Programme is part of the EU’s lifelong learning programme 2007-13 (LLP). The programme is coordinated at national level by the national agencies located in all participating countries which award the grants to the participants. Cedefop coordinates the programme at European level for the European Commission since the 1 January 2008.
Study Visits 2012/13
The call for applications for study visits scheduled between September 2012 and February 2013 is closed. Currently, the National Agencies of the participating countries are conducting the process of selection of candidates. The candidates will be informed about the results of the selection by the National Agencies by July 2012. If you wish to apply for a visit taking place from March to June 2013 you must apply within the second application round (23 July to 12 October 2012).

Information for organisers
Organisers of the study visits programme are selected by the National Agency of their country. In order to implement a successful study visit, organisers need to respect several rules before, during and after the study visit which are written down in the handbook for organisers.
